Once the watermark detector incorrectly points out the watermark absence is called False Negative Error. Some SVD-based watermark schemes embed the watermark directly into spatial domain, and the watermark signal cannot resist against geometric attacks, consequently False Negative Error occurs due to the watermark detector outputs distribution or nonexistence.
